Spring Recap
It’s been a huge Spring semester for As You Are!
Believe it or not, there are only a few weeks left in the school year (don’t bring it up to the seniors). But before we shift into summer mode, we wanted to give an update from our Worship Nights!
Between all 5 campuses, almost 1000 girls attended the Spring worship nights! Our team group chat was lighting up constantly with prayers, encouragement, and pictures from each night. We continue to be so encouraged by how God has been moving through this ministry.
We kicked off the worship night “tour” with UNC. This was our second-ever worship night with the North Carolina girls, they bring so much life and joy into the room. It was the perfect first stop, and we left feeling so encouraged.
Stop number two was UGA. This was the biggest worship night we’ve ever had! Over 300 girls crammed into the building. We had set up 200 chairs, and our expectations were blown out of the water as girls continued to overflow onto the floor.
The next night we drove to Clemson for the launch of As You Are on their campus. This event was on the rooftop of a downtown hotel. We sang worship songs as the sun set over the campus, it was absolutely beautiful! Our team never knows what to expect when we host a worship night at a new school, but we were stunned as we watched over 250 girls wait in an elevator line to come up to the roof.
South Carolina was the following week, and it was buzzing with energy, joy, and new faces. We rented out a warehouse that was located next to a brewery, it was really cool to sing worship songs at the top of our lungs knowing that everyone could hear. The USC girls also really leveled up their snack game with a hot pretzel bar.
Last but not least, BAMA had their biggest worship night yet! This was our third time on their campus, and it was incredible to see how many people brought friends, and how many new volunteers were there to help set-up. The girls piled in and filled every single seat. It was such an encouraging way to wrap up the “worship night tour”.

Speaking of our podcast, we’ve been so blown away by it’s impact! Since we started it in the Fall, we have accumulated over 2,500 monthly listeners.
We hosted a series where we interviewed the Founders of As You Are, a series telling stories of women in the Bible, a series where we interviewed a Christian counselor about anxiety, and we just started a new series where we will study the book of John together. Finally, we’d appreciate your continued prayers for this ministry and all the ways that God is continuing to expand and use it. We have lots big dreams on the horizon and we’re currently in the process of building out a mentorship program for our leaders.
