Relationships: Community
It’s part of God’s design for our growth and the maturing of our faith. Why is it that good community can be so hard to find? Dig in with us as we explore what Christian community is and where to find it.
Women in the Bible: The Woman Caught in Adultery
We’ve probably all heard this story at least once, but today on then podcast we wanted to dive deeper into Jesus’ reaction to the Pharisees and to the woman. It’s such a picture of both grace and truth and has really important applications for us today.
Women in the Bible: Ruth & Naomi
This week we get to look into the special friendship between Ruth and Naomi. Ruth is the most unlikely woman to have a book of the Bible named after her - she wasn’t even Jewish. So how did this foreigner and outsider become known as faithful to God and worthy of a whole book about her story? Let’s take a look and see.
Women in the Bible: Esther
There are so many power house women of the Bible who are incredibly faithful. But how much do you really know about them? Are they picture-perfect? Or maybe are they normal like and of us? What sets them apart? What do their stories mean for us today? We’re going to do a 3 part series, but let’s start by getting into the story of a particularly famous woman from the Bible…Esther.

Advent Mini-Session: The Source of our Joy

Comfort & Joy
During this 3rd week of the Advent season we’re leaning into the JOY we have in Christ, and the joy the world felt at His birth. It’s so different than just happiness. We also continue going deeper in the Christmas story - the Mary’s Song of Joy as well as the mysterious, rejoicing Magi.

The Importance of Thanksgiving (Remember)
As we approach the holidays, and specifically Thanksgiving, we wanted to talk about how God talks about gratitude and giving thanks. We touch on several verses to meditate on, and we talk about gratitude as a practice. Choosing to see through a lens of gratitude has the ability to shift our entire life for the better - we even read through a list of scientifically proven benefits of a grateful mindset. Last but not least we have a few challenges for all of the listeners through the Holiday season.
Where Are You Taking Your Pain?
We’re coming to you live from the UGA worship night! Anna talks about faith and trusting God with the things we’re ashamed of. We take a closer look at Mark chapter 5, verses 21-34 which is the story of the bleeding woman and her encounter with Jesus. This message is special, and it shows Jesus’ heart to accept and heal us, when we ask and when we have faith. Hope you enjoy!
Slow the Pace
This week we talk about everything from study abroad programs in Italy, to anxiety, resetting priorities, and verses that have gotten us through times of fear. “Fear Not” is the most repeated phrase in the Bible, and we dive in a little on that subject - what does it look like to hand our fears over to the Lord? How can we practice that daily?
“Remain in Me”
Has your relationship with God ever felt like more of a job than a relationship? Why do you think that is? Dive in with us a little deeper on that - Anna shares a story from her childhood, and looks into the story of Mary and Martha for some perspective.
The Moon
Have you ever thought about how much faith we have in the moon? We know it will keep doing its thing day by day, orbiting earth, bringing us ocean tides and signaling to us that it’s night time. We never wonder if it’s there, even when we can’t see it. After a funny conversation with my son Jones, I had a lot of thoughts about what this means about our faith. Also there’s a challenge in here that I think you’ll find really interesting and helpful, hope you enjoy!
Bloom Where You Are Planted
We've all been raised on the idea of the 10 year plan - looking to what's next and striving to keep up. We all have our devices in our pockets, constantly scrolling and zoning out. As a result it’s so easy to feel hazy and hectic, rushing to what’s next and never sure what’s truly important. We crave feeling settled, but we don’t know how to get there. But what if we exercised faith in what Jesus taught & put our focus on the present? What if we sat still with God. Emily shares a mini devotional this week on the podcast.
With us in the Waiting
We’ve all experienced what it feels like to wait. From being stuck in a long line, to waiting to hear back from a job, or even zooming out to big picture waiting on things like making friends or dating —it’s no fun. Most of us are wired to want answers, and to want the answers to arrive quickly. Waiting is painful because there’s so much unknown. BUT the Lord has so much in store for us during these pauses that He doesn’t want us to miss. Today on the podcast Anna as a mini devotional for any of us who are currently waiting, and those who will find themselves waiting in the future (hint…all of us). Settle in on your walk or on your drive and hope you enjoy!
